Kali Singh Temple, Muzaffarnagar district, UP

Devotees from far off places come to offer prayers for the well being of their animals. he temple is called as 'Kali Singh Temple', only of its kind in India.
"Kali Singh is the only temple in India, where prayers are offered for animals. Devotees pray and offer milk for the well-being of their animals," said Sunil, temple priest.
Only fresh, early morning milk is offered to god.
Moreover, the temple has an unusual ritual, which devotees must follow.
As per the ritual, devotees particularly womenfolk have to cook 'kheer' from milk obtained from their cattle or other milking animals, on the premise of the temple and offer it to the god.
"We come here to pray for the happiness and well being of our animals. We bring the fresh milk and prepare 'kheer' from it. Later, we offer it at the temple," said Sangeeta, a devotee.
Devotees visit the temple from several places including Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan..
